  BUYING A PROPERTY AT AUCTION

You can get a great deal at auction but it not for the feint hearted. If you are considering this you must do your homework first. Visit several to see how it works before you consider bidding.

It is possible to save over 30% on a property by buying it at auction, but you could also make a very big mistake.

Mortgage lenders will often put up their repossessed properties for auction as they want to get rid of them quikly. They are in the business of lending money not owning houses.

Don't forget you'll need to have your survey, conveyancing and mortgage sorted beforehand, and even though you've paid up front for these there's no guarantee you'll be the successful bidder.
